The Windmill in Hollingbourne, provides the perfect home away from home when exploring the perfect blend of history, culture and natural beauty that Kent has to offer. History enthusiasts will appreciate a visit to the All Saints’ Church, first built in the 14th century, this Grade 1 listed building provides evidence of the rich local history of this part of the region and in particular its association with the Culpeper family, who owned Hollingbourne Manor and Leeds Castle – which lies just over a mile to the south.

As you stroll through the village, you’ll be captivated by the charming architecture of the traditional cottages surrounded by beautifully coloured gardens. For those wanting to learn more about our historic town, stop by the Eyhorne Street Heritage Centre where you’ll be able to delve into its agricultural roots to its involvement in the smuggling trade during the 18th century.

Visit one of Kent’s many farmers’ markets to sample the best of the region’s bounty.
